What is the submission policy at Durango Herald Small Press?

We are not accepting manuscript submissions at this time.

How do you decide which books to publish?

To some degree, our decision depends on what we have in the works, and what we have published recently. We try to remain open-minded when considering submissions, knowing of course, that we are able to publish only about three books a year. We are not a large-volume publishing house, nor do we wish to be.

Do you have a mailing list?

Currently we do not maintain a mailing list. The best way to find out about new releases is to check back with us here on our web site.

How do I purchase from Durango Herald Small Press?

Books may be purchased online, by filling out an order form and mailing it in, or via telephone. Books can also be purchased at the Durango Herald, 1275 Main Avenue, Durango, Colorado.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment may be made with personal checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. When purchasing in person at the Durango Herald, cash is accepted.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be charged the total amount during the ordering process.

How and when will my book be shipped?

As soon as your order has been processed, your book will be shipped from our offices via U.S. Mail. In most cases, it will be shipped within two business days.

What if my goods arrive damaged?

In the unlikely event that the book or edition arrives damaged, you must notify us of the damage within a period of three days. In most cases we will replace the damaged book.

What if the book or edition I receive is not the one I ordered?

You may return your purchase within ten business days for a full refund. We require that goods be returned in original packaging to ensure safe shipment.


How do I report problems I encounter on your web site?

If you experience any difficulties or encounter errors, please email our web master. We will investigate the cause of the problem and rectify it quickly.
